Diamonds make a Grand Appearance at the Prestigious 50th Annual Grammy Awards

The Annual Grammy Awards are always the music event of the year, featuring the hottest artists decked out in their best couture.  This year’s Grammy Awards were no exception.  They were more glamorous than ever, celebrating a 50 year long music tradition.

Among the many talented musicians who received awards in Los Angeles this year was British retro soul singer Amy Winehouse, who earned an amazing five awards including “song of the year” and “record of the year” as well as “best new artist”.  Unfortunately she wasn’t present to collect these awards due to visa problems, and the enthusiastic crowd had to make do with a performance and speech relayed from a London studio via satellite.  It was also a good night for Kanye West, who scooped four Grammy Awards, and Bruce Springsteen, who walked away with three.

Second only to the musical performances were the fashion statements made by the celebrities on the red carpet.  It was truly a great night for fashion.  From beautiful satin gowns and sleek suites to chique designer outfits, everyone was looking their best, and diamonds were no stranger to this upscale Hollywood-style scene.  Celebrities showed up well endowed with diamond accessories, including diamond bracelets, drop earrings and diamond earring studs, and of course extravagant diamond pendants.

Among all of the glitz and glamour, Alicia Keys made a grand entrance, sporting 36.33 carats Sodwana Rough Diamond Earrings.  Beyonce wasn’t left behind, wearing gorgeous Diamond Chandelier Earrings.  Her performance in a sparkling mini-dress alongside music Diva Tina Turner blew the crowd away.  Carrie Underwood, who also gave a great performance, dressed in stylish high black boots, matched a sparkling Diamond Bracelet to her red carpet outfit.  As far as male diamond fashion goes, artist Jay-Z definitely gave new meaning to the word “class” with his glittering Diamond Pins and Diamond Dress Buttons.

It was truly an unrivalled night for the music industry, and the best of the best were present, frosted in the most luxurious diamond jewellery.  Beautiful music, beautiful people and beautiful diamonds truly went hand in hand on this remarkable night.
